International Mentoring Partnership and Cultural Training

 

Mission:  The IMPACT Program is designed to challenge students to further develop their skills in the areas of leadership, organization, teamwork, poise under pressure, adaptability, and connecting with people from other cultures.



ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to be part of the intergenerational, international IMPACT team for 2019-2020, applicants must:

  • Have been inducted into the Guild by August 30, 2019.
  • Have served as Student Instructor (currently serving on ASLT/GSLT/GSLMT would be an added bonus)
  • Be at least 16 years of age (as of April 30, 2020).
  • Be responsible for their own transportation to and from our point of origin on the east coast. Meals, lodging, sightseeing, and transportation throughout the tour will be provided by ICC. IMPACT team members will want to bring spending money for personal shopping and souvenirs.
  • Have a valid passport with an expiration date on or after December 5, 2020 to travel with the IMPACT EUROPE 2020 tour.
  • Check your visa status regarding travel to Europe.


DATES

Roughly 14/16-day window between mid-May and June 2/3. (Please do not book any tickets until dates and team plans are confirmed.) Locations and dates are still being finalized


COST

Cost: As the itinerary isn’t yet finalized, we can currently only provide an estimate. Best estimate is $2500-$3000, based on current info. That can certainly change, but maybe it helps you begin thinking about possibilities. Price to include lodging, meals, sightseeing, and transportation throughout the IMPACT touring experience. IMPACT team members will want to bring spending money for personal shopping and souvenirs.


TRANSPORTATION

Student Instructors are responsible for their own transportation to and from our point of origin. ICC provides all transportation throughout the IMPACT Tour.


MEALS & LODGING

  • Meals: all basic food and meals are covered. Participants are responsible for extra snacks or individually preferred food choices over and above those provided. 
  • Lodging: Most lodging is provided in host homes and a church/school. 


NEXT STEPS

  1. Start by filling out this IMPACT EUROPE 2020 Interest Survey by March 18.
  2. Obtain a valid passport with expiration on or after December 5, 2020
  3. Check your email regularly for next steps. There will be some Cultural Intelligence Training in preparation.
